Setting up/Troubleshooting your connection on Mac OS X
STEP 1: Click on the "Apple" menu.

STEP 2: Move your mouse down to the "System Preferences" option.

STEP 3: Click on the "Network" icon in The system preferences.

STEP 4: Select the modem in your computer. If your mac came with a modem from the factory it will be called Internal Modem

STEP 5: Confirm the local access number for your area in the "Telephone Number:" box is correct. If an alternate access number is available for you, then you can enter it in the "Alternate Number: box. In the "Account Name: box confirm that your username is correct and retype the password that was provided to in the "Password:" box.

STEP 6: Click on "Apply Now" to save your changes.
