Q. Why cant I send emails with a zip file or executable?
A.

IQuest Internet blocks message's with a zip file or executable file attached. We do this to reduce the amount of virus laden messages that come through our mail servers. This helps protect you as well as reduce the load on our mail system.

Blocked File Types(including but not limited to):

  • .zip Winzip Files
  • .exe Windows Executable
  • .scr Windows Screensaver
  • .pif Program InFormation file
  • .gif Image file

Q. I only have Outlook Express on my computer, What other options are available to me to use to check my email?
A. IQuest Internet Mail supports any mail program that can check a POP3 or IMAP enabled mail server. Many of the mail programs we support are available for free download from the vendors website. Below is a list for links to the vendors website for information regarding their mail program.
